The government in Taipei county announced the elementary schools could have special way to celebrate Taiwanese Children's day today. They announced at that day the children are able to bring their toys to the schools and have each 10-minutes classes and 40-minutes for each break time on April 1. Is this decision exactly good to the children?
In my opinion, it is not good decision to children and parents. The children have one holiday on April 4, why the government would like to give them "extra Children's Day"on April 1?!
The parents send their children to the schools to learn something, and it is not only for the knowledge but also for learning skill and interpersonal relationship, etc. I am not against children to relax or have fun in the schools. Nevertheless, there are many ways to make the day more colorful than that decision. Maybe the schools can hold some actives to let children visit some orphanages, and let children to know they are so happiness to have great families. Then, teach them how to share something which the other children never have it or assist someone who needs help. Or, the schools can hold some games to let the children learn the team work, or have one day trip. It will be much better than gain nothing.
I have ever been a child, so I can understand the children rather have fun than study hard. Therefore, I think if they can have fun and learn something at the same time, then it will be great.
If I am a mother, I will wish my children to be happy everyday. However, I still hope they can learn something from their lifes, even it is just a game.
Wish all of children have great and memorable Taiwanese Children's Day.
